Unlike vertical or batch-style dryers, the Horizontal Fluidized Bed Dryer moves material steadily from one end to the other while drying it along the way. This horizontal movement makes the process easier to control, especially when working with sensitive tablets or granules.

The air flow in this machine is upward, like other models, as well as the vibration, to keep the material moving forward in a thin layer. Because of this, each particle spends a predictable amount of time inside the dryer.
